Background checks are regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Most state laws concerning public records and background checks are very liberal and straightforward. In the State of Iowa, public documents are available for anyone who wants to get through appropriate channels official state agency. Background checks are essential to the ability of parties to enter into various legally binding and as such are always a great idea.
